Dr. Breanne Galloway, B.Sc.Ag., D.V.M.
Dr. Breanne Galloway is the eldest daughter of Dr. Robert Galloway and is now the owner of Steveston Veterinary Hospital. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Saskatchewan in 2008 and her Degree in Veterinary Medicine overseas at the University College Dublin in Ireland in 2015. Having always had a passion for animals big and small, she knew that this was absolutely the career for her and is thrilled to finally be living her dream.
She has a Bengal cat named Petunia, and recently added a Great Dane puppy named Demi to her family.

Dr. Teresa Millar, B.Sc., D.V.M.
Dr. Teresa Millar obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon in 1988. After graduation, she completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Washington State University. Dr. Millar has spent the last 33 years in small animal practice in the lower mainland. Because of the complicated and ever changing nature of veterinary medicine, she maintains her skills with continuing education courses in various fields. She has a special interest in dentistry, anesthesia, behaviour and internal medicine.
Dr. Millar enjoys gardening, reading and knitting. She likes to spend time with her crazy rescued Goldendoodle "Fluffy" and watching her 2 adorable kitties "Dora" and "Harriet" practice parkour in the living room!

Dr. Robin Goodman, B.Sc., D.V.M.
Dr. Robin Goodman obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University and her degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2024. She has always had had a passion and love for animals and is excited to start her career with Steveston Veterinary Hospital!
In her spare time, Dr. Goodman enjoys reading, spending time in nature, bird watching and knitting. She has a family dog, Molly, who is a beautiful senior golden retriever.

Dr. Cecilia Krogsgaard-Sanchez, B.V.M.S.
Dr. Cecilia Krogsgaard-Sanchez is our devoted locum veterinarian. Born and raised amidst the sunny landscapes of California, her journey in veterinary medicine has taken her across continents to beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
After completing her veterinary degree at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, her professional path has led her to various clinics and communities in the lower mainland, each contributing to her experience.
Outside the clinic, you'll often find Dr. Cecilia immersed in the natural beauty of British Columbia. She has a deep love for the outdoors and enjoys mountain biking and skiing in the beautiful outdoors of British Columbia!
Through her work, she aims not only to provide top-notch veterinary care but also to be a trusted partner in the well-being of your furry family members.

Dr. Alberto Schlicht, DVM, M.Sc.
Dr. Alberto Schlicht was born in Chile but spent a memorable childhood amongst howler monkeys and silent sloths in the jungle of Venezuela. He obtained his degree in Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Austral de Chile in Valdivia then moved to Vancouver and finished a M.Sc. degree in Animal Science at UBC in 2003 and completed the Canadian Veterinary Accreditation in 2008. He has been practicing veterinary medicine throughout the Lower Mainland and the Sunshine Coast since then.
Dr. Alberto is very passionate about veterinary dentistry, and it has become the focus of his professional life, dedicating 100% of his work to it, performing over 750 dental procedures per year!
Dr. Alberto has accumulated extensive dental training attending dental conferences, lectures and wet laboratories on a yearly basis since 2015 and is currently finishing a Certification in Small Animal Dentistry (a 2-year program).
He is able to perform periodontal surgery (open root planning, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, sliding flaps and bone augmentation), oral surgery both dental and soft tissue (trauma, oral masses, dentigerous cysts), juvenile dentistry (retained baby teeth, cleft palate, orthodontics (malocclusion, narrow base, deviated teeth, crown extensions, inclined plane, brackets & chain, appliances), crowns, impressions and restoratives and bonded sealants on enamel fractures.
Dr. Eugene Gorodetsky, D.V.M.
Dr. Gorodetsky has spent most of his career as an emergency and critical care veterinarian in a busy 24 hour referral hospital. He has also developed an interest and considerable experience in various areas of veterinary endoscopy. He has endoscopically removed hundreds and likely thousands of foreign bodies from stomachs, esophagi, small and large intestines, noses, lungs, vaginas, urethras and ears. All this while avoiding open surgery as well as pain, longer recovery and increased frequency of post-surgical complications.
Dr. Gorodetsky completed his pre-veterinary studies at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in the spring of 1999. His areas of medical interest include endoscopy, surgery and radiology.
Over the past 8-10 years he has been spending more and more time on the road performing endoscopic procedures in about 300 clinics from Campbell River to Kamloops, Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital is one of them. Eugene symbiotically coexists with his lovely wife, two (at times) lovely children, two dogs and a cat.

Dr. David Francis, DVM, MS, DACVS-SA
Dr. Francis graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994; for 6 years was in small animal practice in the lower mainland.
In the summer of 2000 he moved to Knoxville Tennessee and completed a one year rotating internship at the Veterinary College at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. That year was followed with a one year Surgical Fellowship at the University before being accepted to their 3 year Small Animal Surgical Residency program. Following completion of the residency program he moved back to the lower mainland. He then passed the American College of Veterinary Surgeons certification examination in the spring of 2005. Since returning to the lower mainland in the summer of 2004 he has been providing surgery services to the lower mainland on a mobile basis and through a referral hospital. Since the spring of 2018 he has been exclusively providing mobile surgery services.
Jessica Burn, DVM, MS, DACVO
Dr. Jessica Burn has been serving the Vancouver Island community since November 2021. With a focus on individualized treatment plans, she offers an array of services, including the management of glaucoma, corneal surgery, and cataract surgery.
Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Alberta in 2010, leading to a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Calgary in 2014. After completing a small animal rotating internship at VCA Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre in Calgary, Alberta, in 2015, she practiced emergency medicine before pursuing a specialty ophthalmology internship at Michigan State University in 2016. This led to a combined four-year Master of Science and Comparative Veterinary Ophthalmology residency at the same institution. During her residency, she trained in all aspects of ophthalmology including surgical and medical management of ocular conditions in small animals, horses, rabbits, birds, and exotic species.
Alongside her studies, Dr. Burn competed at the international level as a member of the National Canadian Taekwondo Team. She is also a trained ballet dancer and an accomplished pianist. Beyond her professional life, Dr. Burn is an outdoor enthusiast and she enjoys activities such as hiking, paddleboarding, horseback riding, standing acrobatics and yoga.

It is with deep sadness and regret that we announce the passing of Dr. Robert Galloway in 2019, after a brave fight with cancer. Dr. Galloway had passionately served SVH clients from 1974 until July 2018. The Steveston Veterinary Hospital staff will greatly miss his compassion, exemplary skill and knowledge, and genuine kindness and respect.
