JOB POSITION: Kennel Attendant

Wage: $17.40- $18.50 per hour

EXPERIENCE

  • Willing to provide on the job training for the right candidate

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 

  • Self motivated individual, able to work well on your own and in team environment 

  • Reliable, punctual 

  • Able to handle case sensitive information 

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • A passion for animal welfare

Join our dedicated team, whose mission is to ensure that every pet receives the utmost care and attention while providing unparalleled satisfaction to our clients during each visit to our clinic! As a kennel assistant, your responsibilities include:

  • Transporting animals to and from kennels

  • Ensuring that the animals have ample fresh food and water at all times

  • Cleaning animal waste, spilled food, hair, and other debris from kennels

  • Disposing of trash in a timely manner

  • Accompanying animals on walks, if required

  • Calming animals who are in distress

  • Reporting significant changes in functioning to the Veterinarian on duty 

  • Adjusting the air temperature to ensure the animals remain comfortable

  • General office cleaning and sanitation
