JOB POSITION: Veterinary Assistant

Wage: $19.00- $23.00 per hour based on experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year working in a veterinary hospital OR

  • Veterinary Assistant Diploma

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work in a face paced, sometime stressful environment 

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to create and maintain client relationships

  • Self motivated individual, able to work well on your own and in team environment 

  • Reliable, punctual 

  • Able to handle case sensitive information and procedures such as euthanasia 

  • Compassion and patience when handling animals and interacting with pet owners

  • Positive attitude and desire to support both pets and people alike

Join our veterinarian team whose purpose is to make sure pets get the treatments they need and clients are satisfied each time they come through our doors! Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures

  • Handle and restrain animals during examinations

  • Provide care for animals in the hospital, including feeding, walking, and monitoring their well-being

  • Clean and maintain examination rooms and equipment

  • Educate pet owners on general pet care and post-treatment instructions

  • Support the front desk team with client care services as needed

  • Secondary School (required)
