JOB POSITION: Receptionist

Wage: $18.00-$23.00 per hour based on experience

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 1 year working in a veterinary hospital OR 

  • Minimum 1 year working as a receptionist OR

  • Veterinary Office Diploma

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to work in a face paced, sometimes stressful environment 

  • Ability to prioritize and multitask 

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to create and maintain client relationships

  • Professional telephone manners 

  • Self motivated individual, able to work well on your own and in team environment 

  • Reliable, punctual

  • Able to handle case sensitive information and procedures such as euthanasia

Join our client care team whose purpose is to make sure pets get the treatments they need and clients are satisfied each time they come through our doors! Your responsibilities will include:

  • Efficiently handling client inquiries via phone and email

  • Creating a welcoming environment for guest families and their pets

  • Scheduling appointments and sending reminders for essential health visits

  • Accurately managing data in our practice management software

  • Maintaining organized filing systems and records

  • Conducting outreach to potential clients through various channels

  • Ensuring the reception area meets hygiene standards

  • Handling daily cash transactions and insurance claim forms promptly

  • Reporting and filing test results on time

  • Making outbound calls for vaccine reminders and other health-related events
